Our mission is to combat gender-based violence (GBV) by equipping women leaders with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to drive change in their communities. Through specialized training programs, advocacy workshops, and mentorship initiatives, we empower women to take active roles in addressing the root causes of GBV, raising awareness, and providing support to survivors.
This issue is compounded by the lack of women in leadership positions, leaving critical voices absent from decision-making spaces where policies and community interventions are designed. Women leaders are uniquely positioned to advocate for survivors, challenge harmful norms, and implement community-driven solutions. However, systemic barriers, such as unequal access to education, cultural biases, and inadequate resources, hinder their ability to take on these roles effectively.
Ending GBV in Kenya requires a bold approach: empowering women leaders to drive transformative change. By providing leadership training, mentorship, and resources, women can be equipped to challenge the status quo, advocate for survivors, and promote gender equality at all levels of society. Empowered women leaders are the key to creating a safer, more inclusive Kenya where GBV is no longer tolerated
As women rise to leadership positions, they can inspire systemic change by influencing decision-making at local and national levels, ensuring that gender equality becomes a cornerstone of governance. This ripple effect leads to safer environments where women and girls can thrive without fear of violence, and survivors are supported with dignity and compassion. Long-term, the initiative will contribute to Kenya's economic and social growth. Reducing GBV means fewer women are sidelined by trauma.
