We want to share some wonderful news from our project in Laos—news that you made happen. In the heart of rural communities affected by UXO accidents, a cycle of hope and sustainability is taking root, all thanks to your support for our chicken-raising project.
The concept is beautifully simple: families are given the tools to raise hens, hatch their own chicks, and create a self-sustaining business by selling the grown chickens. This powerful model is helping them move beyond recovery and build true resilience.
The results are life-changing. Each chicken can earn a family around 120,000 Lao Kip ($8-10 USD), adding up to an extra $130-$330 USD annually. For families with limited opportunities, this stable income is a pathway to a better future.
But the story doesn't end there. The best part is seeing this success spread. Neighbors are so inspired that they're buying chicks to launch their own flocks, expanding the project's reach organically throughout the entire community.
