KOSHISH rescued five women surviving with gender based violence from the street and locked up conditions. Of the total, two women were rescued from the street with their babies. One woman was rescued from the locked up condition. Remaining two were rescued through the referral from the government agencies. All rescued beneficiaries were provided the specialized and holistic care including psychiatric treatment, psycho social counseling, nursing care, medication as well as food and accommodation. The women were also involved in various recreational and therapeutic activities as a way of therapy as well as relaxation. Following recovery, upon the consultation of the psychiatrist, four women were reintegrated back to their family. Family counseling were also carried out as per need. The reintegrated women are in the touch of KOSHISH through the follow-ups.

Rescue of a woman from the street
As previously updated report, we were in the process of getting approval of the project #33456. Considering, the fund will be received internationally, the process for the approval takes comparatively much more time. Now we have received official approval from Social Welfare Council of Nepalese Government and Metropolitan City Office. The project we submitted in the proposal stated it is in progress. At present, two women suffering from violence and lived with mental health issue have been rescued. They are receiving proper care at KOSHISH safe house.
Henceforth, the project titled "Help 100 woman suffering from violence in Nepal" is off to a smooth start in its goal of helping women suffering and facing difficulty due to violence, that lead to mental health problem. Our project will be beneficial in addressing the problem for women with mental health issues as it shows from a recent study as a highest rank of domestic violence.

By Om Malla | Project Leader
Dear Sir/Ma'm
Greetings from KOSHISH Nepal!
I hope this mail finds you doing well. I am Om Bam Malla, who is currently looking after the GlobalGiving ptoject at KOSHISH. I am extremely sorry to write you this late about the report of the project " Help 100 woman suffering from violence in Nepal" started by KOSHISH in partnership with GlobalGiving. The fund has been received but we have to apply for approval of Social Welfare Council of Nepalese Government to officially start the project. Since it's the fund received internationally, the process for the approval takes time. We have prepared the official format of forms of Social Welfare Council and submitted it for approval. As soon as it is approved we will start the project as per the proposal submitted to GlobalGiving.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Om Bam Malla
