Hello, Dear Donor!
After spending most of 2020 helping Club kids learn math and reading via Zoom, we finally found some time to sit down for our own math homework... We wanted to count all the hours WA Clubs invested in "distance learning support", and here it is:
2,819,363!
Yes, our 130+ Club locations in WA provided nearly 3 million hours of support to kids and teens who accessed their teachers via virtual platforms, completed homework online, and tuned in to various web-based learning resources. For many kids with parents and caregivers in the essential personnel occupations, our Clubs served as a reliable resource to ensure regular school attendance, homework completion, and access to mentors ready to help with challenging new material.
Your past and future support helps our Clubs to continue providing qualified staff, digital connectivity, learning supplies, snacks and games while local school districts continue their hard work of transitioning to hybrid and in-person instruction over the coming months. We are happy to be a part of these efforts, and appreciate your investments!
Thank you,
Katya Miltimore
