On 24 January 2026, Virtues Work 4 People conducted a youth-focused Virtues Training in Busia County, Kenya (bordering Uganda). This session marked a critical next step following the Introduction of Virtues to more than 520 community members in Gem, Siaya County, at an end-of-year celebration on 22 December 2025, where strong demand emerged for deeper youth engagement.
The Busia training focused on integrity, responsibility, and sound decision-making as the foundations of youth empowerment. It was delivered in partnership with newly trained Virtues Facilitators, Mr. and Mrs. Nyongesa, founders of Lipo Tumaini Initiative (“There is Hope”), and respected senior police officers actively involved in community-based mediation.
Through this collaboration, The Five Strategies of The Virtues Project are being used to:
Participants who complete training are organized into groups and supported to start income-generating activities, thereby reducing poverty and strengthening social cohesion.
Early results show improved relationships, reduced conflict, and increased cooperation among youth and families. Demand for Virtues training continues to grow across neighboring communities.
Thank you for supporting peace-building and youth empowerment in Kenya.
