Educate to change...
The program continues the educational work of raising awareness about the importance of caring for the environment to ensure that we always have water in quantity and quality, for this we work in campaigns and community marches promoted by children from the communities, to influence and change certain patterns of behavior in adults and reduce the environmental damage caused by them.
Children are the loudest voices that deepen the mind and heart of the adult, we have seen greater awareness and above all more commitment to care for the environment. We hope to continue with this type of campaign, we continue to believe that education is key in generational changes and in offering a better world.
To continue to positively impact the lives of our beneficiaries, we need to continue to have your support. Likewise, we invite you to spread the word with your family and friends so that they join this noble cause.

Transforming our communities

Transforming our communities
Education focusing on the water project has been fundamental to reduce deforestation and pollution in our communities. Cleaning campaigns are carried out by the children in Un Mundo’s programs, which prevents garbage from falling into the river resulting in contamination.
Each community has a group of children who help coordinate reforestation activities, cleaning and garbage classification. They are guided by a Mentor or Educational Facilitator working for Un Mundo. They also offer educational talks that develop greater capacity and empowerment with the children.
We benefit from your continued collaboration, which helps us develop local capacities and offer socio-environmental training for our children, adolescents and young people. Thank you for sharing our experiences with your friends, family and close contacts, which helps expand our impact in the Cangrejal River basin, an area with high poverty rates and very limited access to resources.

We Save the Earth
Our “Save the Earth” campaign is an educational program that involves almost 300 children in 9 communities and schools.
Highlights of the program include children taking part in a variety of environmental activities such as working on murals made with recyclable materials. Clean-up campaigns were carried out in the communities and also along the river. Educational talks were given in schools and work commissions were formed to continue promoting and implementing activities related to protecting the environment.
Program activities will continue to be carried out on a monthly basis with the goal of reducing any negative environmental impact on our communities. These efforts will include maintaining better garbage control and improved water quality.
The campaign, which is led by children, was very successful! In addition to involving children, the program also managed to arouse the interest and participation of adults, creating greater awareness of the importance of caring for our environment.
We are grateful for your ongoing support and collaboration, which allows us to continue with these activities that are having a positive impact on our communities. We would especially appreciate your help in spreading the word about the campaign with other friends and families, so that together we can be part of the change we want to see.
