Greetings here from Guatemala,
We hope this message finds you well and in good health. This message is to update you on the progress of the rainwater harvesting project last year. Our 5 beneficiary families have had their systems up and running for more than 6 months now and we are doing home visits to see how their rainwater harvesting systems have influenced their lives over the past few months. The picture above is of one of the beneficiary families. We went to visit her and asked her about her rainwater harvesting system. She emphasized that since she has taken part in this project she has not had to go to her neighbor's house to wash her families clothes nor has she had to borrow water. In fact, her neighbors now turn to her when they need water. She also showed us how she now has sufficient water and can maintain chickens, a cow and a horse for the economic benefit of her family. In addition to these uses, she also notes that she now has sufficient water for the family members to be able to bathe regularly and for keeping the house clean and washing dishes after meals. She is grateful to the donors like you who have made this project possible. Thank you for your support.
