By CHARLES AANENSON | CEO, Peace Winds America
Since the mid-July 2018 floods, Peace Winds has assisted the town of Mabi in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. Providing immediate relief, moving people to evacuation centers, repairing homes including mud-outs, providing mobile medical clinics enabled many to withstand the hardships of the torrential floods.
Many still remain at evacuation centers, including seniors and children. Peace Winds has been joined by two local NGOs volunteering during meal times. Peace Winds continues to assist while also responding to late August 2019 floods in Saga Prefecture.
We are presenting several photos of anonymous evacuees whom we continue to assist thanks to our generous donors. Thank you kindly. God bless you.
