Wheels of Hope: Emergency Rickshaw Ambulances for Rural Pakistan

Project Overview

In many rural regions of Pakistan, emergency care does not fail because of a lack of doctors or hospitals; it fails because people cannot reach them in time.

A pregnant mother in labor.
A child bitten by a snake.
A farmer was injured in an accident.

For thousands of families, these emergencies turn fatal simply because ambulances cannot access narrow roads, remote villages, or informal settlements.

The Wheels of Hope Project by the Moses Welfare Foundation aims to change this reality by deploying 100 specially designed Rickshaw Ambulances capable of reaching areas where traditional ambulances cannot go.

With your support, lifesaving care will no longer depend on geography or wealth.

The Crisis

Across rural Pakistan, access to emergency transport is almost nonexistent. Poor road infrastructure, long distances, and poverty force families to rely on unsafe alternatives, such as wooden carts, motorcycles, or carrying patients by hand.

As a result:

Mothers die during childbirth
Snake bites and infections turn fatal
Accident victims lose critical time
Children suffer preventable deaths

These are not rare tragedies; they happen daily.

In many villages, people do not ask if help will come; they know it won’t.

Our Solution: Rickshaw Ambulances

The Wheels of Hope Initiative introduces a practical, cost-effective solution: rickshaw ambulances built for rural terrain.

These vehicles are:

Small enough to navigate narrow village roads
Fast and fuel-efficient
Affordable to operate and maintain
Capable of reaching patients within minutes

Each Rickshaw Ambulance will be equipped with:

A stretcher and basic life-saving equipment
First-aid and emergency response kits
A trained driver with basic emergency response skills
Direct referral links to nearby hospitals

Operating day and night, these ambulances will serve as the first line of emergency response for isolated communities.

Summary

In the remote villages of Pakistan, a few lost minutes often mean a lost life. Mothers giving birth, children struck by illness, and accident victims suffer not because care doesn’t exist but because they cannot reach it in time.
Rough roads, narrow lanes, and long distances make traditional ambulances useless in these areas.
Through the Moses Welfare Foundation, we are launching the Rickshaw Ambulance Project “Wheels of Hope” to deploy 100 mini-ambulances designed to reach even the most remote villages.
With your compassion and support, we can provide timely emergency help to those who have been forgotten, saving lives one ride at a time.

The Challenge

Every day, people in rural Pakistan lose loved ones to preventable causes, such as childbirth complications, snake bites, road accidents, and heart attacks, simply because help couldn’t arrive.
In villages without paved roads or proper transport, families carry their sick relatives on wooden carts or their shoulders for miles. Many never make it in time.
These are not stories from history; they are today’s reality.
Distance and poverty have become deadly barriers. No one should die because an ambulance couldn’t reach them.

The Solution

The Wheels of Hope initiative will introduce 100 Rickshaw Ambulances, small enough to navigate the tightest village paths yet powerful enough to save lives.
