Dear Wigs for a smile Supporters,
We've started the new year with 2 delivered wigs and 1 wig in preparation. Two hairpieces were delivered in Srebrenik and Travnik, and as some of you already read in our end-of-the-year appeal, Adina received her custom-made wig at the end of the year.
On a mannequin, the wig looks nice, a bit distant but when Adina touched it, the wig became magical. When you look at it on Adina's head it looks so beautiful, so phenomenal at the very least. Also, it looks so natural that you'd never guess it was a wig on her head. However, the most important thing is that Adina is happy and content. Tears in her mother's eyes testify to this.
Project Wigs for a smile makes wonderful stories, from hair donation stories to beautiful and content wig-owners at the end of the day.
We thank Adina and her mother for letting us share her photo and her story of this wig. We thank our Fuad Halilovic (cancer survivor and our Association's wigmaker) and Ajla (wig making assistant) for the effort and knowledge they put into making this wig. They really created something beautiful.
In November 2019 we held our annual hair donation campaign in Sarajevo City Center. It was by far our most successful event and we collected 461 donations of hair from girls, boys, men, and women all over Bosnia and Herzegovina who came to participate in this event. More than 30 hairdressers and 35 volunteers came together to make this campaign possible.
We thank everyone for supporting this project, both offline and online, and we invite you to share our story and invite your friends to support this project financially this year.
Thank you for your time and please, spread the word. This project needs continuous financial support.
