Dear Wigs for a smile Supporters,
We've continued to provide natural hair wigs to children and youth across Bosnia and Herzegovina suffering from permanent or temporary hair loss. Four wigs were delivered, two in Sarajevo, and one wig each in Zivinice and Tuzla to the girls aged 8-18. The 5th and 6th wigs, which were a repair service, were for 18-year-old girls (hair loss due to medical treatment).
In the last 3 months, since our last report, we've had an additional 1339 hair donors, from around the world, from children, women, and men, young and old, from all walks of life. In order to make it easier for our users, we have created wig maintenance instructions for wig users which we are particularly proud of.
On October 15th, 2023 we are planning to hold our traditional, annual hair donation campaign in Sarajevo at Sarajevo City Center, from 11:00 - 17:00. Stay tuned for more details and special surprises we've planned for this event. And of course, join and support us on this occasion!
Project Wigs for a Smile continues to make wonderful stories, from hair donation stories to beautiful and content wig owners at the end of the day. We thank all patients and wig users who let us share their photos and stories with their wigs. We thank our Fuad Halilovic (cancer survivor and our Association's wigmaker) and Senada (wigmaker) for the effort and knowledge they put into making this wig. They really create something beautiful, every day.
