IBC has been operational in Kabul, Kunduz, Herat, Mazar-i Sharif, etc and provides humanitarian relief to those most in need and has developed a well-established presence in the region. IBC field teams in Afghanistan can access remote locations safely with the acceptance of the local community and in coordination with other actors working in the field.

Within the scope of the project, procured food parcels, distributed to the ones in need in Kunduz, and mezar i sharif. The project empowered the nutritional capacity. A total of 1700 families and more than 9.000 direct beneficiaries have now been reached through this project.

The project empowered the nutritional capacity of the female led families and ease the burden of needs for the ones in need in Afghanistan. They are now able to secure their nutritional needs– mainly women and children.

The project empowered the nutritional capacity. A total of 1700 families and more than 9.000 direct beneficiaries have now been reached through this project. This Project covered needs of many people but there are other vulnerable people who are waiting for help. Thus, implementing additional projects that cover IDP families’ food needs are prominent.

Case Study:

Leyla lives with her four children under very difficult conditions in a rented house with only one room in the Noshad neighborhood in the tomb.

Leyla's husband was a soldier. She lost her life in the war 2 years ago. Their houses in the village were destroyed during the war. Leyla, who was homeless, derelict and widowed, had to move to the city with her orphaned children when she could not provide a source of income to survive and work in the village.

While his sons, Mustafa and Inspiration, should have been busy with school, now he is looking after his mother and sisters, sometimes selling pens and sometimes water, in order to find money on the streets of the city.

Leyla is very worried about the future of her children because they are very tired and cannot go to school. She says that she cannot feed all her children, especially her little daughter, well.

Saying that there is no sink and kitchen in her house, she lives under difficult conditions in only one room, she wants her children to go to school and grow up as individuals who will serve the community in the future.
