Women's Right in 28 Villages While On The Run!

Begining Construction to continue develop skils

Despite the fact that we have been on the run from our villages in the North West Region in Cameroon, we have not allowed this challenge from preventing us from continuing our mission which is aimed at providing a lifelong sustainable opportunity to all women and girls in different facets of life within the nation of Cameroon. We continue to focus on our goals, objectives and mission to develop our women and girls to become all that they can become in life.

We are very grateful for the support that we have received to include room and board and some basic needs such as medical supplies, etc., however, the need is great and we are in need of upgrades to our current situation.

While we have been on the run, we have continued our weekly education and training session to enhance our skills in preparation for developing self-reliant communities and villages by partnering with philanthropic organization and institutions which provides reliable training environments and tools that guarantees growth and change from the kitchen to ownership of our own business and working skill jobs in education, health facilities and business environment such as banks.

We were able to obtain a piece of proprety in our new home environment and we cleared this land of brush in order to begin laying the foundation for constructing low income houses for for displaced families from the NW and SW areas in Cameroon, Africa. Upon the completion of this project we hope to have space for our organizational headquarters, emergency care center, computer center that will house our school program so that our students who have not been in school for the past four years will again be able to continue their education in a modern educational learning environment.

We pride ourselves in engaging in humanitarian projects which will benefit people from the rural environments in Cameroon to the Urban centers that will provide educational as well as recreational development projects that will contribute to the wholesome development of our youths, especially our girls.

Cameroon started a national dialogue Monday, September 30, 2019 in an effort to solve the separatist conflict that has killed thousands in the country's English-speaking region (NW/SW) in the past two years. Cameroon President Paul Biya announced the dialogue earlier in September when he called on all separaratist in the South East and North East English-speaking regions to surrender and be forgiven. More than 500,000 people were forced from their homes due to the violence.

We Will Overcome Despite The Ongoing Conflicts

We have been on the run since about August of 2018 because of the shutting down of schools, attacks of public and private houses, kidnapping and killings as some of the hallmarks of what is currently happening in our Anglephone regions (Meta) of Cameroon, Africa.

As we have settled into our hiding space, we are surviving despite the fact that we have a lack of food, medical supplies and other necessities to be able to maintain a healthy life style. Instead of looking at the glass as being half empty, we are looking at the glass as being half full. We are thankful to God for being alive and able to wake up to a new day. As we have settled into our new envirement, we have chosen to go out each day and try to develop relationships and find new resources as we connect with other families who are on the run from our 28 villages and communities.

On June 24, 2019, Equinoxe TV reported on the six o'clock news that 1.3 million people had left the Meta Region and neighbor (NW/SW) that around 680,000 children from the NW/SW Region had left the area. These numbers represents critical humanitarian concerns for families and children who are facing lack of medical care, food and basic needs including loss of opportunity to obtain basic education. Schools in the area have been shut down.

Currently we are in the process of obtaining a small plot of land where we can relocate our headquarters, establish a small urgent care center, small computer center where our children can have access to the internet and online schooling, and build some low income houses for our families to have some decent living quarters.

We are contininuing to strive and prepare our families with skills and information necessary for them to return back to our villages in the Meta Regions when and if the government declares that the conflict is over and we can return safelfy to our villages and homes.

Updates From Women Empowerment Team

The military interventions continue to disrupt the daily lives of the people in our villages in the NW Region in Cameroon. Despite the fact that the Women Empowerment Team has not been able to return to our homes in Zang Tabi Village and the Meta area in the NW Region in Cameroon, the team has continued to create opportunities for our group while we are on the run.

For example, we have conducted educational workshop about the goals and objectives of our organization JRCCA to encourage locals to join us in creating and negotiating to develop economic opportunities here in Cameroon with investors and partners in the USA, especially in Tyrone, GA. Our goals and objectives are to be prepared to rebuild our homes, hospitals, urgent care centers, provide clean water and promote and create jobs that will improve the economic development for the area and our neighbors in more than 28 villages when the military interventions are over and we are allowed to return to our villages.

We have organized a group of ten delegates who are scheduled to travel, meet with and attend the annual Light of Cameroon, Legacy Proclamation in honor of our founders and leaders Ma Salome and Pa John, and the Leadership Economic Summit in Tyrone, GA. USA from May 11 through June 9, 2019. The delegation will be led by the honorable Lord Mayor Beatrice of Mbengwi Meta City Counsel in collaboration with our honorable President Ma Comfort. The stated objective is to properly honor the Legacy and humanitarian work of Ma Salome over several decades in the NW Region of Cameroon, meet investors and tour businesses of interest that will help us to develop an economic foundation in the NW Region of Meta

The attached MOU explains the relationship established in the JRCCA Memorandum of Understanding with Mayor of the City Council of Mbengwi with regards to all activities including the main project of constructing the JRCCA American Corner in Tonekoh Zang Tabi Taah Meta to serve more than 28 villages for youths and creating jobs and employment to help deal with the growth and development of our youths.
