Greetings To Our Supporters and Donors;
We are pleased to share with you some of the things that we have been able to achieve during the last quarter despite the fact that we had to take time away from our projects to honor the passing of our founder. Our group was very satisfied that we had taken the time to honor his legacy by preparing a resting place and celebrating in our traditional culture for him on the land where he was born and where he taught us how to fish rather than beg for a fish in order for us to keep fishing for generations to come as evidence by the life that he lived in Zang Tabi, Cameroon, Africa.
We are grateful and thankful for the supporters and donors who contributed to the overall cost of having his remains return to Cameroon from the USA where he would be with his ancestors for without this support, we never would have been able to make it happen. Returning his remains to Cameroon during the Covic-19 Pandemic provided our organization with the opportunity to put into practice and demonstrate the leadership skills for which we have been training and teaching our people since the inception of the Civil War more than four years ago and that is the habit of practicing good health even while celebrating. Our field staff was able to maintain good health habits and discipline among the large crowds that greeted our founder at the airport, morturary, service and final resting ground including mandatory Covic-19 Standards for groups as dictated by the local Mayor.
The highlights for this quarter included our organization's entry in the USA World Honey competition and winning the Blue Ribbion in behalf of Cameroon, Africa for the best dark honey in the world in this international honey competition. This honey was harvested on the compound of our late founder and home of our President before she escaped to the city during the civil threats. This is quite an honor and has encouraged our 30 ladies who received 30 hoes from our organization to invest some of their time and efforts in harvesting bee honey in compliance with our Food Security Project which will assist our women to become managers of their own small business as they raise food to sale and earn money as feed their own families.
The Second highlight for this quarter was the appointment of a female Council member as the director of jobs and training programs which will benefit the development of our leadership skills for women and girls in our organization. Our new Jobs and Training Director will collaborate with other organization to train women and girls in independent small business skills that will provide them with the opportunity to learn how to become self-sufficient and build a business and career that will allow them to break the women dependent cycle in Africa as well as manage their own destiny. Resources and funds are needed for her to successfully help our women and girls grow and free themselves of the traditional African women and girl status.
The Third highlight was our international chairperson becoming the local president of an international organization in the USA with over 100 years of providing services above self. Under his leadership, this will be an opportunity for females to enhance opportunities under the organization's concept of diversity to grow and give back so other females can grow. The theme for the organization for 2021 to 2022 is to help each other grow. They are encouraging local clubs to share their resources and finances with organizations like ours on the international level.
The Fourth highlight is that our President who is female and the daughter of our founder has set forth a resolution that will create a Bee Hive Sanctuary, Flower Garden To Support The Bee Hives and a Bee Research Center in the Guest House Overlooking the founder's grave site which will attract Bee Farmers and Tourist to the Center that will provide jobs and training for our women and girls in congruence with the goals and objectives of our new Jobs and Training Director. Our President is also encouraging women and girls to join our programs that will provide funding for women and girls who want to become chicken, quail, corn or pig,cocoyam farmers in their villages. We are serving over 28 villages in 280 tribes. Women and girls are also being encouraged to engage in sports and recreational activities such as football/soccer. Our goal is to provide well rounded training for our women and females who will lead our villages and the country in all occupations.
Despite the fact that our schools and other local agencies have not opened for the past four years due to the civil conflict, we have continued to find ways to use various strategies to meet our goals and objectives as stated to help women and girls grow and become independent free of the traditional African life style. We are collaborating with other organizations and using strategies like conference call, zoom and other internet variables to make connections and stay connected to find resources to make our program work for our women and girls.
