By Azeem Christopher | Program Leader
Thank you for the donations of 15788 USD . Our women vegetable club is successfully gowing and is in its 4th year with more application have been received for the loan to start the vegetable farming.
The women groups have recently sown cucumber, capsicums, bitter gourd beans and turnips. Selling their first cycle to the markets, they have earned quite a good profit of (2000 per day) . Two of the groups have sown Apple Gourd along with the corriander which has provided them mild profit. With the arrival of the COVID- 19 , the demand went lower therefore the prices of the vegtables dropped consistently.
As with the lockdown coming to ease, the demand is getting higher and with that the income too. The beneficiaires are very happy and excited. They are paying back the installments on time and beleive to continue to develop it by acquiring more land in near future. Few beneficiaries have asked for the loan amount again after succcessfully completing the loan cycle.
