Dear Friends ,
Thank you for your support. The project has started gaining momentum since it is initiated. It has started bringing a positive impact in the lives of rural marginalized women of Faisalabad. The women during the last season, successfully grew and sold out "radish" and "Potatoes" and earned a handsome profit after selling it in the vegetable market and to the local vendors. The beneficiaries (Rashida, Khadija and Shamim) managed to earn 15000 PKR (150 USD) each after selling out the Radish. After the Radish, they have grown "Peas" in 3/4 of the acquired land. The women grew Spinach, Radish , Corriander and Turnips in rest of the land. The " Peas" are almost ready to be sold and the beneficiaries are expecting a handsome profit from it. Their husbands are very happy and are supporting them in every phase.
The beneficiaries have also planned to to grow Lady Finger and Green Chilli during the month of April . The concept of vegetable farming is getting popular among the areas and several other women groups has showed their interest in Vegetable farming and has started contacting AWARD Pakistan for loans.
We request all our donors and supporters to help AWARD to reach its target.
