We wanted to share a brief update on the northern white rhino recovery project at Ol Pejeta. While the most visible moments of this journey are the scientific breakthroughs, the heartbeat of the mission is the vital work happening quietly in the background every single day.
The survival of Najin and Fatu remains our absolute priority. This quiet period is, in many ways, a success—it represents the stability and safety we strive to provide. Thanks to your ongoing support, our dedicated teams are working around the clock to ensure:
Continuous Protection: Our rangers remain on 24/7 watch, providing the elite security necessary to safeguard the last two of their kind.
Health & Well-being: Najin and Fatu are monitored daily by our veterinary team to ensure they remain in peak condition for the next phases of the program.
Operational Readiness: Maintaining the specialised equipment and technology required to support the most ambitious recovery project in conservation history.
Species recovery is a marathon of patience and precision. Your contributions keep the guards on duty and the facility running, allowing the science to move forward at the pace it requires.
We are incredibly grateful for your commitment to this mission. We look forward to sharing more specific news with you as soon as the next stage of the project develops. Thank you for standing with us.
