Dearest friends,

Dayana, the coordinator of our beloved project, has been receiving an outpouring of letters from children who are eager to become the next generation of environmental leaders. These letters demonstrate the passion and dedication of the young people in the program, and Dayana is thrilled to see so many children inspired to make a positive impact on the planet.

As Dayana reviews the letters, she is struck by the depth of understanding and knowledge that many of the children possess about environmental issues. She knows that selecting the next group of Young Ecoleaders will be a difficult task, as so many of the applicants show great promise.

But Dayana is determined to find the most committed and enthusiastic young people to join the program. She knows that with the right training and support, these children can make a real difference in their communities and beyond. She is excited to help them develop their skills and become the environmental leaders of the future.

We highly recommend that you stick around to see what will happen next. There are exciting developments on the horizon and you won't want to miss out on what's to come. So, please stay tuned and see what unfolds!

Love from the rainforest.

The Iracambi team.

Dear fellow educators,

First of all, we want to thank you for your support of our educational program. Together we really are making a difference!

We know that environmental education is a fundamental tool for training young leaders committed to protecting and preserving the environment. It opens doors for the next generation to develop skills and knowledge that allow them to understand the importance of environmental conservation and promote positive changes in their communities. And we want to share some feedback from our Ecoleaders.

Our educational coordinator recently met up with a group of last year’s Ecoleaders. In the course of the conversation they told her that, by participating in the program they learned a lot of new information on topics such as climate change, waste management, biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. Not only that, but they also developed leadership and teamwork skills, which are essential to the success of any project.

But the truth is that you already know that. And now, they do too.

And it seems that the local authorities do too!  So we are happy to announce that for the second consecutive year we have managed to establish a partnership with city hall to provide transport for the schoolchildren to Iracambi, which is wonderful because here at Iracambi we don’t yet have a school bus!

Not bad, is it? Together we’re raising a new generation of environmental leaders.

Dear friend,

We hope you are doing well, and would like to thank you very much for your help! !

We've been taking trips to local schools while the kids are still on vacation and talking to principals, teachers, parents, and the community and pitching our project,  showing them the benefits of  learning about the environment from an early age.

We even had a meeting with the mayor of Rosario da Limeira - Iracambi's nearest town, to talk about continuing our  partnership. Last year,he  made buses available for the kids to come out to Iracambi , to their forest classroom activities.  the forest.

We're so grateful for this,  because a day in nature is exactly what  we wish for them, so they can discover the wonders and the amazing things that exist on the planet.

Lots of rainy rainforest hugs,

The Iracambi team.

Dear friend!

Cheers to another year! We are wishing all the wonderful thing to you and your loved ones on the new year.

To start off 2023 on the right foot, we want to take a moment to say a big thank you for supporting us to restore the beautiful Atlantic Rainforest.

Your support makes it possible for us to spend our daysrolling up our sleeves, collecting the seeds, taking care of the seedlings, nurturing them as they grow and then planting them out. We can't think of a better way to spend our time!

And this year, we're dreaming higher than ever and aiming to plant 125,000 trees in 2023-24 and we also plan on training and educating 1000 kids and expanding our educational program and together we're going to make it happen, because of supporters like you, who are important members of our team, and deserve a huge thank you for making a difference in the world!

We wish you all a year full of happiness, fun, and success.

With gratitude,

The Iracambi Team

Our young ecoleaders planting the future!
Our young ecoleaders planting the future!

Dear friends,

Our young ecoleaders are now graduating as the end of the year approaches and they had one final task that was SUPER important and that they were REALLY excited about: planting trees!

Since our coordinators told them, at the beginning of the program that they would go deep in nature, some of them were a little bit suspicious about this activity that we prepared for them, so it wasn’t a big surprise that our kids would be willing to plant a million trees themselves!

Our friend Alfredo, coordinator of the Forests4Water Program prepared the planting hole for the kids and they got their hands full of dirt, some of them, for the first time ever!

And what a beautiful thing it was to experience it all!

We want to keep doing more and better: we are dreaming higher and going further since we plan on training and educating 1000 kids and expanding our educational program! And we continue to count on you to make it happen!

And this is how we bring it to a perfect end (for now!). And this is how we wish you a happy holiday and send you all our love from afar!

Warmest holiday greetings,

The Iracambi team.
