We are in the process of fundraising for a new classroom which will include a large edu-library for one of our wonderful community leaders.
Jessie Nkohla from Green Apple Pre School in Kwazekhele opened her school in 2012 with 40 children in her small 4-room house and employed 4 ladies as teachers.
Jessie has the most beautiful heart for her community. She is deeply invested in each child’s life and will do everything she can to help each one of them. She has spent nights at Dora Nginza Hospital so children don’t have to be alone and even fostered those who need a safe place to live. This just shows the incredible person she is.
In 2018 through RAM Spreaders sponsorship, we built an innovative new school out of containers with a large space for the children to play and run. Currently, the school has grown to over 300 children, 6 of whom have special needs, and employs a staff of 20 ladies. They are desperately in need of another classroom to improve learning opportunities.
“We are proud of the work we do and believe in working together to bring change to the terrible cycle of poverty.” Jessie Nkohla
