Edu-library Update

By Elaine Watson | Founder

In our last update, we shared that we had secured a container to convert into a classroom for Jessie, which would also house the much-needed Edu-Library. Unfortunately, we did not receive the container from the company that had promised to donate it. As a result, we are continuing our efforts to raise the necessary funds to provide Jessie with the classroom and Edu-Library she needs.

The goal of the Edu-Libraries is to provide children with access to educational resources they may not otherwise have. The resources aim to support the holistic development of the child, addressing both cognitive and physical growth, as well as social and emotional learning.

Each Edu-Library includes a variety of materials that encourage creativity, fine motor skills, and imaginative play. These resources include:

  • Play dough for sensory play
  • Fine motor activities like threading
  • Books to encourage literacy
  • Colouring and drawing materials
  • Wooden blocks for building and problem-solving
  • Materials for imaginative play
  • Puzzles to enhance cognitive development
  • Figurines, animals, and cars for pretend play
  • Lego for creativity and problem-solving

These resources are carefully selected to nurture different aspects of a child's development, creating a well-rounded and enriching learning environment.

We will continue working hard to raise the funds needed to bring this vision to life, and we are deeply grateful for your ongoing support. Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of children who need it most.
