By Francis Osisiogu | Project Leader
Since the last report, the project has remained at the pre-funding stage, with fundraising and donor engagement continuing as the primary focus. Financially, the project still requires the full $5,000 funding target to procure and distribute 700 Safe Birth Kits to vulnerable pregnant women in IDP camps. No new funding or donor contributions have been recorded since the previous report, leaving the project with $5,000 remaining and implementation yet to commence.
While funds are pending, preparatory coordination with IDP camp leaders and health volunteers is being maintained to support a timely rollout once funding is secured. The project team is also prioritizing donor outreach, partnership opportunities, and awareness efforts to close the funding gap. Securing the required funds remains the immediate priority, as procurement and distribution cannot begin until sufficient financial support is received. Continued fundraising will be essential to move the project from planning into implementation and provide safer childbirth conditions for 700 mothers and their newborns.
