700 Safe Birth Kits for Mothers in IDP Camps

By Francis Osisiogu | Project Leader

Financial Overview (Priority Update)
The project currently has a total funding goal of $5,000, with $5,000 still remaining. At this stage, 0% of the target has been raised, and there are no recorded donors or monthly contributions yet. This indicates that fundraising activities are still in the early mobilization phase and require urgent attention to initiate support.

Current Status of Implementation
Since funding has not yet been secured, procurement of the 700 Safe Birth Kits has not commenced. Preparatory activities such as coordination with IDP camp leaders and health volunteers are ongoing to ensure immediate deployment once funds are received.

Financial Gap & Urgency
The full funding gap remains critical. Without donor engagement, the project cannot proceed to procurement or distribution stages. The $5,000 target is designed to cover all essential materials for 700 kits, making timely fundraising essential to prevent delays in life-saving interventions.

Next Steps

  • Intensify donor outreach and awareness campaigns
  • Engage potential partners for emergency maternal health support
  • Prepare logistics framework for rapid distribution once funding is secured

Summary
The project is currently at the pre-funding stage, with no financial inflow yet recorded. Immediate fundraising efforts are required to move from planning to implementation and begin delivering safe childbirth support to vulnerable mothers in IDP camps.
