Equip 20 computers to support school dropouts

The computer hub is benefiting our community by giving parents, young adults, farmers, artisans, and small business owners practical skills that can directly improve how they earn and manage their income.

Many families depend on small businesses such as farming, tailoring, market trading, crafts, and small shops. Through the hub, community members are gaining basic digital and financial skills that help them keep records, track expenses and sales, manage stock, prepare simple budgets, and understand whether their businesses are making progress. These skills are helping turn informal activities into better-organized and more sustainable sources of income.

The program is also helping community members become safer and more confident in using mobile money and other digital financial services. By understanding how to manage transactions, keep records, identify scams, and protect their money, families are better positioned to safeguard the income they work hard to earn.

For farmers, tailors, craftspeople, and other local producers, digital training is creating new possibilities for marketing and reaching customers. Instead of depending entirely on local markets or middlemen, participants can begin exploring digital platforms to promote their products and connect with wider markets.

Most importantly, the benefits extend beyond the individual participant. When a parent improves their business management and income, the whole household benefits through greater ability to meet essential needs, support children's education, and plan for the future. For many vulnerable families in our community, accessing quality healthcare remains a challenge. Our community health workers are committed to reaching households with essential services, but their work is often slowed by a basic limitation: patient information is still largely recorded on paper, scattered across notebooks and files that are difficult to organize, retrieve, and analyze.

By equipping our computer hub with reliable computers and digital tools, we can strengthen how community health services are delivered. Health workers will be able to securely organize and access patient information, follow up on cases more effectively, and make better-informed decisions without spending valuable time searching through paper records. This can help reduce missed information, unnecessary delays, and repeated procedures.

Digital records will also help us better understand the health needs of our community. By analyzing information, we can identify areas with lower vaccination coverage, recurring health concerns, or communities where HIV-related stigma remains a barrier to care. These resources can make outreach sessions clearer, more engaging, and more effective.
