Creating Digital Opportunities for Children, Youth

By Seguya Ivan | Project leader

F SSIBU Mission Foundation recognizes that children and young people need more than traditional educational support to prepare for the future. They also need practical skills that enable them to navigate an increasingly digital world. Our initiative to equip a community computer hub with 20 computers is designed to create these opportunities for children, youth, families, and other underserved community members.

The computer hub will provide a safe and accessible place where children can strengthen their learning through digital resources, educational research, and practical computer training. Students will have an opportunity to develop digital skills that can support their academic journey and prepare them for further education.

For young people, the hub can become a gateway to new possibilities. Digital skills are increasingly important when searching for employment, preparing applications, communicating professionally, accessing online training, and exploring entrepreneurship. By providing access to computers and training, we can help young people become more prepared, confident, and competitive.

Families and other community members will also benefit. Adults with limited exposure to technology can develop basic computer skills and learn how to use digital tools productively. This can encourage knowledge sharing across generations and strengthen digital awareness within the community.

Donor support is the driving force behind this transformation. Every contribution toward equipping the hub helps turn an empty space into a centre of learning, opportunity, and empowerment. A donor's support can help a child access educational information, enable a young person to develop an employable skill, or give a community member the confidence to use technology independently.

The project will also bring opportunities closer to people who may otherwise travel long distances or pay for private computer services. Through community outreach and sensitization, F SSIBU Mission Foundation will ensure vulnerable groups are aware of the opportunities available and encouraged to participate.

We sincerely thank our donors and partners for investing in this vision. Your support is creating impact far beyond the computers themselves—it is helping build skills, confidence, knowledge, and hope for a better future. We look forward to continuing this journey together and maximizing the benefits of the hub for generations to come.
