Thanks to your generous support, 2024 was a year of powerful impact and lifesaving healthcare access for women and families in rural Colombia. Through our Family Planning for Rural Colombian Women initiative, we reached over 2,700 families with reproductive healthcare services, education, and procedures that empowered women with greater bodily autonomy, health, and opportunity.
Women in isolated and underserved areas of Colombia often face significant barriers to healthcare. Many must travel for hours to reach the nearest clinic, only to be turned away due to shortages in supplies or providers. That's why our mobile brigades—offering family planning services directly in remote communities—are such a lifeline. This year, we expanded our reach, conducted educational workshops, and provided vital access to contraceptive options that allow women to make informed choices about their futures.
But the work doesn’t stop here.
With global funding for reproductive healthcare facing historic cuts, your support is more critical than ever. Millions of women around the world—including those in our Colombian communities—are at risk of losing access to essential services that directly impact their health, education, and economic wellbeing. As emphasized in Project Drawdown’s recent policy brief, voluntary family planning is not just a human right, but a proven strategy to improve climate resilience, reduce poverty, and support sustainable development.
Your donations are more than financial gifts—they are acts of solidarity. They help mothers stay healthy, allow girls to stay in school longer, and give entire families a better chance at a secure, sustainable future.
We invite you to continue walking with us. Share our story, spread the word, and consider becoming a monthly donor to help us continue delivering reproductive health services where they are needed most.
With gratitude,
The Women for Conservation Team
