The northern region of Chitwan district in central Nepal is the home of indigenous Chepang people. The villages there struggles with various development constraints, and no connectivity with electricity is one of them. National grid electricity has not reached there because of difficult geographical terrain.
ECCA mobilized the local women and helped them establish women groups. In addition to providing various trainings for livelihood development, ECCA also provided solar photovoltaic lamps to each of the 20 members of Cheuri Division Women’s Group. Orientation on the use of solar light was also provided. The lamp has benefited them and their family in their daily lives.
ECCA is thankful for your support. Your contribution will help us support improving the living standard of rural communities.
