Our Big Sister Manisha is a Great Role Model!

By Cathy Clifton | Communications Director

At Ama Foundation we believe that the successes of our alumni tell the story of our mission of a bright and productive future for all of our children - and no one could be a better example of this than our Ama Ghar daughter Manisha.

Manisha always worked hard in school, and she was the only one of the Ama Ghar children who ever brought home a perfect report card until this year, when her little sister Rheka accomplished the same feat! And that really tells the story - we are a family, and in a family the older children serve as mentors to the younger ones, visiting on holidays and helping with tutoring and doing everything they can to make sure that the children who follow them will have a bright future, too.

Manisha completed a Masters in Hotel Management and is now happily married and living in Sydney, Australia with her husband Sabin. We know that she's still a hard worker because in a recent communication she was telling us how busy they were at the hotel over Easter weekend, but was that a problem for her? No - she said, "Sometimes it's fun to work under pressure!" That's our girl.

Of course, her success would not have been possible without you - without you the tuition for a Master's Degree would have been unattainable. And here's the even nicer part - she's paying it forward as a mentor and role model so that her little Ama Ghar sisters like Rekha can accomplish their dreams, too. Thank you.
