This project is at the beginning of its funding search and we continue to explore grants and other funding opportunities for our arts, culture, and environmental curriculum. We hope to find support for writing and sharing this curriculum, as well as providing learning resources to the students in rural Ghana. Ideally, we will eventually include field trips to Mole National Park so that the students can see wild animals in person.
We were excited to receive a generous donation of environmentally and African culture themed children's books from Kind Cotton. We will be taking these books to Ghana in January when three Board members visit our sites. We also look forward to conducting a teacher training, during this visit, with a focus on using these books for literacy, skill building, and to encourage enviromental and cultural exploration.
