Atlas Corps: Empower Women Globally (#GivingToday)

Atlas Corps continues to empower women leaders by expanding our leadership development opportunities through our remote and blended programs. 

With your support, we are able to connect with young women leaders like Faryal, who joins us all the way from Pakistan as a Generation Fellow. This remote Fellowship gives her the opportunity to be a strategic thought partner and force multiplier to the Region Chief Operations Officer by supporting key innovations (e.g. freelancing), regional strategy development, and country launch support in Ghana.

In her words, Faryal shares that she strives to be a leader that  “... [fosters] relationships & collaborations, [encourages] and [develops] team members to reach their potential, and [promotes] open communication while achieving the goals...” Over the next year, we are excited to see Faryal grow into that leader as she continues to build her global network and gain the skills and experience to inspire other emerging women leaders to do the same.

Thank you for helping us empower women to lead positive change in their local communities. Faryal is just one of the many women that are currently participating in our programs. With your help, we look forward to reaching more in the future.

Thank you for your continued support for Atlas Corps: Empower Women Globally (#GivingToday)! As Atlas Corps continues to move forward into the new year, I’d like to take a moment to thank you for helping us empower our women leaders.

Here are some of our most recent highlights!

Our Global Community Continues to Grow to 1,500+ leaders from 115+ countries! Last month, Atlas Corps welcomed Class 48, a dynamic group of 5 emerging professionals from Cuba, Egypt, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe. I am especially excited to have my former colleagues at Save the Children host Fellow Mai Sami Ahmed from Egypt as their Advocacy Officer Fellow (Child Rights and Participation). • Class 48 continues our recent partnership with Generation, a global nonprofit that prepares, places, and supports people into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible.

Atlas Corps Fellows and Scholars highlights! With your support, Fellows like Michelle (Class 44, Mexico) can continue to inspire positive change at their Host Organizations and local communities. While at One to World, Michelle is involved in their flagship program, Global Classroom, which delivers a series of intercultural programs to under-resourced youth. Michelle shares, “it was certainly surprising to later receive letters from some children telling me how I taught them things about their own country that they did not about before  – little did I knew there were some Mexican children in the classroom – or others even explaining how they understood their privilege of not having to leave their country alone.”

A Special Farewell from Chief Strategy Officer, Abby Robinson

Lastly, I have one more very important update to share with you. Please join our Team in wishing our Chief Strategy Officer an Atlas Corps Alum Abby a farewell. After 12.5 years on our Team, Abby has been a valuable team member and an inspiration to our entire Community. As an Alum she will continue to bring her positive energy to our Community. Atlas Corps is a special part of all of our journeys. Atlas Corps is about connecting with dynamic individuals who share a passion for possibility. Thank you, Atlas Corps Community (staff, donors, volunteers, and more) for providing me the opportunity to be a Fellow and believing in my ability to grow and lead this organization.
