Hello!

It is my honor to share three great highlights from Atlas Corps. As we transition into the summer months in Washington, DC, our energy remains high.

First, Atlas Corps welcomes our newest member of the team: Elliot Beale! We congratulate our Founder and CEO Scott, along with his wife, Courtney, on the arrival of their son. While Scott enjoys some quality family time, I am honored to provide the most recent Atlas Corps update.

Second, the State Department just announced expansion of support to South Sudan. In 2012, the Office of the Special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan launched a partnership with Atlas Corps to engage 14 Fellows from Sudan. In May 2013, the Office of the Special Envoy expanded this partnership to engage 10 Fellows from South Sudan starting in September 2013.

Third, our Fellow Souad Alfaki (Sudan, Class 12, Host: PVBLIC Foundation) was just featured on Voice of America. A former Communications Officer for Save the Children, Souad recently shared her experience and thoughts on the future of African youth as part of a discussion on Voice of America (VOA) - bit.ly/AtlasCorpsSouadAflaki

Awesome! Thank you for being part of these ongoing developments at Atlas Corps. Everyday, I am honored to be part of this network and inspired by your generosity. Please reach out if you have questions or are traveling through Washington, DC, this summer. We would love to see you-

Abby

P.S. Mark your calendars! The next GlobalGiving Bonus Day is Wednesday, June 12 - all donations to Atlas Corps will be matched at 50%. Your contribution of $50 instantly turns to $75; $100 turns to $150; and $500 turns to $750. Amazing!
