Protect & Care Child Labor in Brick Kilns in India

Thank you so much for your love and help to the project we have started in January 2016. 

We are very happy to inform you that we are successfully completed the seasonal migrated worksite school for 70 identified child labor in brick industries at Choutuppal Mandal until June 2017. We have facilitated    primary education along with vocational skills trainings in candle making, dress stitching, phenol making and other handmade skills in Odisha language. We are also provided mid-day meal to all the children.  We are successful in preventing children to work in the brick kilns and stopped and tried to  stay in classroom.   We get good appreciation from the people and all the government departments for successful completions for 2016.

But now the rainy season finishing in October and expecting to come back all the families from Odisha state will arrive in November to stay until June 2018 before start rainy season. This year also expecting to migrate more than 200 children from 150 families from Odisha to 11 brick industries in Choutuppal Mandal, Telangana

We are very sad to tell you that we could not get adequate donations to operate this project, I humbly requesting you to kindly share this project with your all friends and inform them to help to care and support at least 100 seasonal migrated child labor in brick kilns in India

We did not get any help for quite a long time please support as early as possible since the season will start from November 2017.

Thank you so much for your time and support to our children projects in GlobalGiving for the last 5 years. We are very happy to be live in GlobalGiving through our project only with all your support and cooperation.

First of all we are very happy to inform you that we have been changed the project from the care and support to HIV positive people to protect and care Child labor in brick kilns in India.

I would like to submit that seasonal migrated child labor is a major problem in brick industries at Choutuppal Mandal Telangana.  Every year more than 200 families from Odishha state to Brick 11 industries in Choutuppal Mandal, Yadadri District, Telangana State for a period of 6 to 8 months.  Unfortunately children are also forced to work in the brick kilns.  As usual our government caught child labor every year and book cases but failed to provide care and schools for the identified children.  Therefore government is suggested us to work for the identified children in the brick kilns.   

Therefore we have been started this project as seasonal worksite school for the identified child labor from February 2017 until June 2017 with our limited resources. We effectively stop child labor and provided primary education and vocational skills training in Odhisha medium language and mid-day meal to 50 children in Pedakonduru Village. And the school was started and inaugurated by the government departments of Education and labor and Police from Yadadri district and appreciated us.  We are very happy and proud for stopping child labor in brick kilns peacefully with the linkages with positive linages with government, brick industries and the migrated families.

Therefore we have been register this project in GlobalGiving to get support from people around the world, since this is an ongoing continuous program and we wish to run this seasonal migrated children works site school every year because we are not able to stop the families from Odisha state to work in the brick kilns but we wish to protect, care and educate children from these families.
