These are Nelson and Daniel , they are brothers 9 and 12 years old, they joined the foundation this year and since they arrived they have not missed a single day.
They come from a land scourged by violence called progress in the province of Meta.
They live on what their stepfather sells in a small store in the middle of a sector of the neighborhood surrounded by drug dealing.
The two previous years they had a difficult time because there was no school near the place where their grandmother lived, so they had to go to a boarding school to study.
For them, going out to Pintando and to school is the best thing that can happen to them, and they have finally been able to live with their mother who came to Bogota years ago to look for a future and left them with their grandmother.
This year Christmas will be more special than others, they will be with their mother, and in Pintando they will receive some very good gifts like perhaps they have never received
Being able to tell these stories fills us with joy. Thank you for being part of this project that makes it possible for children to transform the circle of poverty.
