Summary

This project is aimed to provide Computers, Smartboards, and projectors to help teachers deliver information to students in the classroom. Initial area of concentration are the school districts in Al-Lubban Alsharqiyyah, Alsawyeh, Ammoryah and school district of Salfit. Teaching IT is almost impossible without such resources to aid the teacher and students.

Challenge

I visited schools in Lubban e-Sharkiya and Salfit in December 2022. Principles and Teachers specifically asked for Computers to help with taking tests in particular in an IT class. Most teachers would like to project information to students in the classroom but none of the classrooms have a computer, projector or a smartboard. All classes are still from the early 1900 with basic desks and a chalkboard.

Solution

Equipping certain classrooms with the necessary technology will help retain both students and teachers in such a school. It will bring these schools into the 21st century. It will help students in need use technology to aid with their education without the heavy cost their parents cannot afford. It will ease the burden of teaching a large class. Currently, students have to take tests in shifts due to the lack of availability of computers in the classrooms. This is creating a time-issue problems

Long-Term Impact

Bring these schools into the 21st century. Keep students in schools. Introduce students to technology that is necessary in todays world to prepare them for colleges and universities or jobs after graduating high school. Improve the health of the community.
