Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) has been trying to empower 50 women of Mathurapur village through assisting in developing their skill and providing them swing machines. Although BEDS has provided a few swing machines to the women, the quantity of swing machines is not enough for them. Our target women are engaged in shrimp fry collection from Sundarbans rivers and with the process they destroy so many small fish genus. These types of actions are dangerous for Sundarbans mangrove ecology; but they can’t help doing it because of their poverty. Target grant of the project is 11,368$. So far, we raised 848$ for this project from 16 donations. We have already shared the information with them that we are trying to raise fund for them to support them with swing machines. They feel very glad to know that and urge again to help them. So, it is our prayer for the donors for being kind to those vulnerable women and bring smile to their faces.
