BEDS is trying to empower 50 women of Mathurapur village through developing their skill and providing swing machine. But the quantity of swing machines is not enough for the women. These women are engaged with shrimp fry collection from Sundarbans rivers and by this process they destroy so many small fish species. These types of activities are harmful for Sundarbans mangrove ecosystem but they don’t have any others alternative position without collecting the Shrimp fry collection and others resources collection from the Mangrove forest.
We are always communicating with our beneficiaries and talking to them about their present situation. We have already shared the information with them that we are trying to raise fund for them to support them with swing machines. They feel very happy to know that and urge again to help them.
Women of Mathurapur village said, `` they don’t want to collect shrimp fry from the Sundarbans. It is insecure and crocodiles can attack me any time. Moreover, they can’t earn much from it so, they want an alternative work. they are good at swing and got training on it. Now they need a swing machine’’.
So, we are requesting the donors for spreading your helpful hands and bring smile on the woman’s face.
