The cyclone season in Bangladesh lasts from the middle of March through the entire month of April. During this time, the coastal population of the Sundarbans is most at risk and will be negatively impacted by cyclones. Beginning in the month of March 2023, BEDS organized a practice drill with the coastal community of Mathurapur Jelepolly. Community residents and CPC members participated in the simulated drill's preparedness exercises, emergency rescue operations during the crisis, and post-disaster actions. The other members of the community carefully observed the mock drill and comprehended the three phases of catastrophe preparedness: before, during, and after.
