Creating Pathways to Opportunity and Recognition

By Rosario Felix | Project Leader

On June 14, we held the workshop “Strengthening Our Work in the Home” in partnership with the Municipality of Magdalena del Mar. Twenty-three domestic workers participated in this training, gaining valuable knowledge about labor rights, assertive communication, the social and economic value of care work, and practical tools to improve their employment opportunities.

Beyond the training itself, the workshop became a safe and supportive space where participants could share experiences, ask questions, and recognize the importance of their work—an essential contribution that sustains families and communities every day.

One participant shared: “I came today because I want to learn more about my rights as a domestic worker.” Testimonials like this remind us how important it is to continue providing access to information, training, and support for workers who have historically had limited opportunities to access these resources.

Every donation helps us organize more workshops, provide educational materials, and reach more domestic workers with tools that strengthen their personal and professional development.

Thank you for standing with us. Together, we are creating opportunities, promoting dignity, and advancing recognition and better working conditions for domestic workers in Peru.
