Update progress report on our project

By James Rosita Nkeiruka | Project Leader

In the words of William James, “The deepest craving of human nature is the need to be appreciated." We are incredibly grateful for your kindness, generosity, and expression of solidarity to our project, "Digital Literacy: 5k Youths in Connected Economy (54330)". In the past three months of our last project report, we haven't received donation through GlobalGiving link platform as at the time of this report. Within the last three months, we have received few donations from few individuals who assisted us through In-kind donations. Here is the little income we were able to receive and how it was used for our humanitarian services:

*INCOME*

a) In-kind contribution=$150.15

b) Anonymous donation=200

Grand total=$350.15

Below is a short description of some of the humanitarian relief you have supported is with your donation.

EXPENSES
i) Seminar materials =$50.35

ii) Facilitators appreciation = $80

iii) Volunteer/Staff appreciation = $50

iv) Communication and telephone bills = $ 30.17

v) Graphic Artist = $30

vi) balance of last expenditures brought forward = $-89.62

Grand Total = $330.14

Balance= $20.01

One crucial benefit that comes with championing digital literacy is that youths can be prepared for life beyond higher education, and equipped with the technological skills that may serve them well in their careers.

However, during the cause of our workshop and seminars and our interactions, we discovered that majority of our youths face with challenges and barriers in getting help. All these challenges are narrowed towards; family constraints and imperatives, individuals' own disposition, in line with past learning experiences,
Pessimistic outlook and low self-esteem.
lack of confidence in their ability to learn,
lack of money (precarious situation, barely enough money for basic needs)

Once again, thank you for your generous donation to "
Digital Literacy: 5k Youths in Connected Economy (54330) that supported these efforts.

As the crises rages on, insecurity, uncertainty, and humanitarian needs abound. We are committed to providing humanitarian and long-term support to our teaming youths.

Besides, the September Little by Little Matching Campaign is right around the corner once again. GlobalGiving’s September 2022 Little by Little campaign will last 5 days, from September 12, 2022, at 00:00:00 EDT to September 16, 2022, at 23:59:59 EDT. During the September 2022 Little by Little campaign, all eligible donations up to $50 USD per unique donor per organization will be matched at 50% for the duration of the campaign and we will keep you informed about how your donation is impacting the lives of people who are suffering because of this shortage.

Warmest regards,

Samonyemaechi humanitarian.
