A magnitude 7 earthquake shook the southwest of Marrakech, resulting in the loss of countless lives and causing extensive damage. Initial estimates report over 1000 casualties, hundreds of injuries, and significant devastation across the provinces of Al-Haouz, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Azilal, Chichaoua, and Taroudant.
