Transforming the Future of Teenage

By Maria Paula Granados | Communications

In 2024, the Juanfe Foundation has taken a firm step towards the labor inclusion of teenage mothers in Cartagena, reaffirming our commitment to economic autonomy as a tool to break cycles of poverty.

This year, we have managed to get 157 young women into the labor market, of which 94 accessed their first job, while another 63 found a second or new job, strengthening their ability to generate sustainable income for their families.

Thanks to our complementary training and cross-cutting workshops, 244 young women have acquired key skills in areas such as makeup, kitchen operations, POS system management, and more. In addition, with diplomas such as setting up social events and managing food service operations, our beneficiaries are prepared to face the demands of the labor market with confidence.

The impact is evident: 55% of young women now earn between 1 and 2 minimum wages, significantly improving their quality of life and that of their children. But our mission doesn't stop here. We continue to focus on ongoing training as a key tool to ensure their long-term inclusion.

This would not be possible without the support of our allies and donors, who believe in the transformative power of sustainable employment. Every job opportunity is a step towards a more equitable future for these mothers and their families.

Thank you for being part of this change. Together, we are creating a path towards inclusion and lasting well-being. Let's continue transforming lives together!
