Your Support is Making an Impact - See Student Report Card - Very Good Academic Performance

Dear friends and project supporters,

Did you make good grades when you were a student in primary or high school?  Or were you more of an average student?

We believe good grades matter.  Good grades help to open doors to better schools and new opportunities.

Thanks to your support, here are some of the activities that we undertake to help boost student performance and help ensure good grades:

  1. Review the progress (report cards) of students at least once a year.
  2. Discuss student performance with parents and (sometimes with teachers).
  3. Recommend and support after-school lessons to boost performance.
  4. Provide additional study materials/books.
  5. Provide solar lights and mosquito nets.
  6. Recommend and support enrollment in better schools.
  7. Provide incentives and rewards for good performance. This will be implemented in 2021.

Attached is a screenshot showing the recent report card of Doris (alias), one of the girls who you support. Her academic performance is very, very good and we are thankful that we are part of her success.

Doris lives with her aunt in a hillside neighborhood - where access to clean water, electricity, and a good road network are challenges for residents. Her parents live in the provinces. She desires to become a Banker.

Doris is a likely candidate to receive one of the prizes that will be awarded in early February. We are super excited to continue to support her progress.

Have you considered starting a recurring donation?  This is the best way to ensure that girls like Doris have a brighter future.

Thanks again for joining us in ensuring that girls like Doris excel in school and have access to better opportunities.

Please share this project with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

Warm regards,

Sylvester and the Develop Africa team

P.S. Wishing you and yours a Happy and Healthy 2021!
