Mentoring Girls- "How to make your Dreams a Reality?"

By Amy Baty-Herbert | Project Leader

Project Supporters,

Thanks to your ongoing support, the Develop Africa Sierra Leone (DASL) team held a girls’ mentoring program at the end of December on the topic “How to make your Dreams a Reality?”. Twenty-one young ladies in Freetown attended the program.  The facilitators spoke on three key steps (self-belief, setting SMART goals, and self-discipline) as a guiding tool to make one's dream a reality. The girls were further asked to do presentations in groups on the above topics with a focus on the three steps.

The girls actively participated and did excellent presentations which demonstrated their understanding of the topics discussed during the mentoring session.  At the end of the program, refreshments and transportation were provided to every participant. The program was a success.

With the help of mentoring, girls can become motivated and more confident in their abilities. Your support is changing girls' lives. Our recurring donors are making a continuous impact and we are truly grateful for the ongoing support.

If you are not yet a recurring donor, we warmly invite you to consider setting up a recurring donation. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way. Consistent support is the key as this is the best way to ensure ongoing impact.

Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this worthy, ongoing project.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

With great appreciation,

Amy and the Develop Africa team
