Online Interactive Sessions
By Nasira Habib | Project Leader
![]()
Pakistan has seen highs and lows in the spread of different variants of COVID-19. Omnicron is the latest and most widespread. Alarm bells are ringing. As a result, Khoj school could not have children's stable and regular attendance, like other schools in the country. Many activities and outdoor games could not take place.
Khoj - Society for People's Education has a plan to respond to the situation. We will conduct participatory, interactive, activity-based sessions on various themes and concepts to compensate for the loss of children's precious time. These sessions will be recorded and shared on social media.
These videos will benefit a wider audience, not just the children at Khoj school.
We are able to keep working in the current uncertain times. The credit goes to you, dear donors! Without your support, we could not achieve anything. Please donate generously.

Bachchon ki baghbani
Our place in nature, living in harmony with nature, and growing food without destroying are the critical components of the work at Khoj - Society for People's education in general and of Khoj School curriculum in particular.
Khoj School garden provides a platform for hands-on learning. To help children to be the master of their situation, a handbook on gardening by children has been written and is ready to be published. The handbook empowers children with knowledge and skills in a simple to understand language. It answers a wide range of questions that can arise while working in the garden. It is illustrated, colourful and attractive.
The handbook is a very useful addition to the resources used by children at school. But it is not meant just for the children at school. The current edition is in Urdu - the national language of Pakistan. It is planned to translate it into English in the near future so that the handbook can be accessed internationally as well.
We are grateful to you - our donors! Without your support, we can't do what we must do.

Coronavirus Still Looming Large
By Nasira Habib | Project Leader
Pakistan has been badly hit by the third wave of coronavirus with the highest number of daily cases. As a result, the schools were closed down again.
The school's closure for months in a go has been posing serious challenges in an area where crime is rampant. School children are vulnerable and can be attracted to criminal activity.
On the 24th of May, the government opened the schools, which is just a week ago. After an absence from school for months, children will face adjustment problems. The school management and staff need to take appropriate measures to acclimatize children to the school discipline and refresh their memory.
The country is still in the grip of the deadly virus. We pray and hope that effective measures are taken, and life comes back to normal. No more school closures are required.
We are grateful for your support in the trying times.
