Often times Your Support for our Education program is used to pick-up the cost of a student who has already gone through several years of secondary school, but for a variety of reasons no longer has the financial support needed to continue. This happens for a variety of reasons: the person supporting their education loses a job, becomes ill, dies or other life circumstances happen.
I’d like to introduce you to a young man who had exactly that happen. His name is Eddy. He is in his fourth and final year of Secondary School. He is a good student and has a very promising future.
This is the request Olalo received from him…
“Next year I will be sitting for my final exams of the Secondary education.
I am asking for assistance to help me in paying of my school fee due to some reasons.
My father is suffering from a growth in the throat and he has been down for four months. He has undergone two surgeries successfully and I thank God for that. My mother also broke her leg while going on her business and this going to be a barrier to me coming next year in paying of my fee.
This has been a glimpse to me that I could not join others in school and this could stop me from achieving my target of studying law. I would like you to help me. Thank you.”
Late last year Eddy’s father passed away. Just before the funeral his mother slipped and broke her other leg leaving her totally bed-ridden with two broken legs.
Your support to the Education Project is allowing Eddy to finish his final year of secondary school and allowing him to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer.
Through our other programs - supplying basic needs and urgent medical care- we purchased several months of food for the family and have covered several medical expenses.
None of this would be possible without you and your generous gifts.
Thank you for caring and thank you for giving this family a chance to survive and thrive!
