brothers
Life story
My name is Mat( no real name). I am 20 years old and I am the second of three brothers. I was under Protection Measure by the ICBF (Colombian Institute of Family Welfare) in the Externado Modality from February 2009 until December 2011, because my parents were street vendors, they went out to offer their products with my brother and sister and me, exposing ourselves to multiple risks in the streets of the city of Medellín.
During my childhood we lived very difficult situations in the home because my parents were also consumers of psychoactive substances. However, thanks to the support of the Overcoming Corporation, today my parents have been rehabilitated and our home is strengthened.
I finished my high school in 2014, but I have not been able to continue my studies because my older brother and I support our parents with the support of the home, I am currently working on a road improvement project.
I have skills for singing and musical composition and my great dream is to study Musical Production or Sound Engineering, to share with the youth of the world a message of encouragement and motivation to move forward overcoming all obstacles.
So today I want to invite you to believe in me and the possibility that there is a way to transform the lives of many young people who, like me, want to build a different society. You can be sure that with your contribution you will be helping me to make my dream come true!!!
