SUPPORTING FRONTLINE HEALTH WORKERS IN HIGH-RISK A

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Frontline health workers continue to serve as the backbone of Uganda’s Ebola response efforts. Thanks to your generous support, healthcare providers working in high-risk communities are receiving the resources and assistance needed to perform their duties safely and effectively.

During this reporting period, health facilities received infection prevention supplies including gloves, masks, sanitizers, and disinfectants. These resources have strengthened facility preparedness and improved protection for both healthcare workers and patients.

Additional training sessions focused on patient screening, infection prevention protocols, and emergency response procedures. Healthcare workers reported increased confidence in their ability to identify and manage potential Ebola cases while minimizing risks to themselves and others.

The support provided through this project is helping ensure that health facilities remain operational and prepared to respond to evolving public health challenges. Strong healthcare systems are essential for preventing outbreaks from escalating and for protecting vulnerable populations.

The dedication of frontline workers remains truly inspiring. Their commitment to serving communities despite challenging circumstances continues to save lives and strengthen public confidence.

Thank you for standing with Uganda’s healthcare heroes. Your support is helping protect those who protect others and ensuring that communities have access to safe and effective health services during this critical period.
