Dear Donors,
The floodwater may have receded, but thousands of families in Nepal are still facing the consequences.
On August 26, severe flash floods struck Rasuwa, Nuwakot and downstream communities.
Homes were damaged.
Roads and bridges were destroyed.
Power infrastructure was affected.
Families were displaced.
For someone watching from far away, the disaster may seem like a moment that has passed. For a family that lost its home, it is still happening every day.
Where will they sleep tonight?
Where will their next meal come from?
Where can they find clean drinking water?
What happens when a child becomes sick?
These are the questions families are now facing.
Around 10,000 households have been identified as needing immediate relief. The needs include emergency shelter, drinking water, food, relief supplies and healthcare.
Clarion Times Foundation is working to support 1,500 survivors with emergency assistance while they begin recovering from the disaster.
We plan to support food, temporary shelter and healthcare, working with local organisations that understand the affected communities and can help deliver assistance.
Recovery begins with meeting the basic needs of people who have lost so much.
Thank you for remembering the families affected by the Nepal floods.
If you cannot give, sharing this project can still help us reach someone who can.
With gratitude,
Adaego Imoh
