Project Report | Apr 14, 2020
We will Smile Again

By Daniel Sitarenios | Operations Manager

We will smile again

Dear Supporters,

Most certainly this emergency project appeal was not on our radar as we came into 2020 but nevertheless we are facing unprecedented times and it has been inspirational to see everyone coming together to support each other.

To date we have fundraised $721 from our emergency response fund and been able to support all 70 projects with the immediate review and planning to enter an essential lock down in aid to try and limit the spread of the virus. Even with everyone supporting the lockdown we are far from over and in fact at the very beginning of this global crisis.

Your donation to this fund is already in use and has been used in the greatest needs by supporting us to support all our projects and the requests and appeal for urgent needs is growing daily. Our communities are reporting all the expected issues such as increased in demand in basic supplies is not being made available, increase in domestic abuse is being reported, homeless people are not able to access urgent care and critical resources to self-isolate and local informal business across townships around the world are unable to access funding from local government and are going under.

People who have been working hard to fund just enough money to live day by day do not have the resources or savings to support their livelihoods past tomorrow let alone next week or month. We are all in panic mode and have no idea what the future will hold for us but for some they are not going to survive very long without our intervention.

Every gift no matter what size could save a life today, as we continue to increase our front line support we need to do this together and we need you in our corner. Please share this update and connect with your network of friends and family virtually about how they can get involved and support our global community through this critical time.

Thank you!

With Gratitude,
