The deadly pandemic

By Maisie Mayne | Fundraising intern

The Problem: COVID-19's Big Setback

Imagine you're building a really cool sandcastle, and then a big wave comes and washes it away. That's kind of what happened with a lot of amazing projects that were helping people before COVID-19.

  • Projects on Hold: Lots of projects that were working to make the world a better place had to stop because of the pandemic.
  • Money Running Out: They used all their money to help people get food and stay safe during the pandemic.
  • Ongoing Struggle: Even though things are starting to get better in some places, COVID-19 is still a big problem in many countries.
  • Unequal Access: Some countries are getting vaccines, but others, especially poorer ones, might have to wait a long time.

The Solution: Helping Communities Get Back on Track

Some really dedicated people are working hard to help communities recover from the pandemic. Here's how:

  • Providing Emergency Help: They're giving communities things they need right now, like food, medicine, and ways to stay safe.
  • Planning for the Future: They're also helping communities plan for the long term, so they can rebuild and become stronger.
  • Remote Support: They are working remotely to ensure they are able to help all the projects.
  • Working with Communities: They are assessing the needs of each community and providing the resources they need.

The Goal: Rebuilding and Moving Forward

These efforts are aimed at helping communities get back on their feet and continue working towards a better future. Here's what they hope to achieve:

  • Helping Communities Survive: They want to make sure communities have the resources they need to get through the pandemic.
  • Supporting Long-Term Recovery: They want to help communities rebuild and become stronger in the long run.
  • Continuing Important Work: They want to help projects continue their important work of making the world a better place.
  • Helping to reach the 17 global goals: They want to get back on track to tackle the 17 global goals.

Why This Matters

This project is important because it shows how we can work together to help communities in need. By providing emergency help and supporting long-term recovery, we can make a big difference in people's lives.

How You Can Help

They have a goal of £20,807 and they still need help to reach their goal. If you want to help, you can donate to their cause.
