We're getting ready for Sunday sessions at LCP!

Dear supporters:

We are visiting the households of the girls taking part in this project in order to obtain the parent’s permission for them to attend Sunday Sessions at La Casa de Panchita:

"Of course I'll let her go! This will be the second year my daughter is going to attend. My Jasmine comes back very happy every Sunday and even brings me a little gift she made at La Casa de Panchita. Now we talk more, we understand each other more. " (Mother)

"Last year promoters from La Casa de Panchita helped me understand very difficult homework. We also played a lot, that's why I like to go to La Casa de Panchita”. (Delia, 10 years old)

Women who work in domestic service also gave important feedback:

"I was surprised by all the things I did not know and that I learned at La Casa de Panchita. I am 50 years old and I have just learned to value what I do, how to gain my employer’s respect and to demand my rights". (Trinidad V.)

"I felt good because I learned that I should not be afraid to talk to my employer when there is a problem. I am happy because I will return to learn more". (Rosario C.)

Thanks to your support we will start once again the Sunday sessions with girls in child domestic work at La Casa de Panchita and we are able to keep offering workhsops to adult domestic workers! Thank you!

Sincerely,

Blanca Figueroa
